Inspiration

I was inspired by the experience of people living in poverty and overcoming many challenges, considering the fact that the poverty rate around the globe has increased. I needed to create a mobile app that would connect donors with people in need, and allow them to donate money, goods, or services directly. I needed an app transparent, secure, and easy to use so I started working on this app idea.

What it does

Spark Aid is an app that connects people who want to make a difference with people who need a helping hand. Whether you want to donate money, goods, or services, or you are looking for assistance with food, shelter, education, or health, you can do that on Spark Aid. It is a community of compassionate and generous people who believe in the power of kindness and solidarity. By using Spark Aid, you can support causes that matter to you, discover inspiring stories of people who have overcome challenges, and join a network of like-minds.

How we built it

It started with an idea and then a sketch of the design and interactions on a paper which brought about the prototype design which was done on figma

Challenges we ran into

Some of the challenges I ran into was short time frame and in the process of the design I had a health breakdown and I had to continue after I attended to my health.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that I was able to design a mobile application where individuals in need can get help from as well as people who would like to help can do that easily without any hiccups.

What we learned

I learnt that designing is more than just an idea, and I also learnt, and I am able to empathize with those in need of any help.

What's next for Spark Aid

What is next for Spark Aid is the development of the mobile app and bringing it to life as well as the web design.
