SpareGood.me isn’t just about money it’s about making generosity frictionless, fun, and part of everyday life. Inspiration When I first set out to build a donation app based on small, recurring contributions, I had no funding just a belief that giving should be easy, meaningful, and accessible. Working full-time, it took over a year to build a stable version. I quickly realized how expensive and time consuming it is to hire developers and maintain an app on a limited budget.

That struggle pushed me to find smarter tools. With Bolt.new, Supabase, and Netlify, I rebuilt the platform faster, leaner, and better. That’s how SpareGood was born with more features, flexibility, and a mission rooted in community.

Today, SpareGood is more than a donation app. It combines AI, friendly team competition, and micro-giving to make fundraising fun, impactful, and inclusive. What began as a side project is now a platform helping communities raise funds with heart and innovation.

How We Built It Bolt AI frontend development React + Tailwind CSS (via Bolt) for clean and responsive UI AI prompt engineering (via Bolt’s OpenAI integration) Supabase (db) Netlify LLM (OpenAI API) Stripe I built the whole project was in Bolt (prompting), database: supabase, stripe, Netlify hosting In less than one month, SpareGood.me went from concept to a working platform proving that clarity of purpose can outshine any budget. Challenges We Ran Into Payment Integration: Managing recurring billing, multiple currencies, retry logic, and PCI compliance without breaking the user experience

Deployment Frustrations: Environment variables would randomly fail. A working webapp could break on the next deploy debugging became a job

Complexity Creep: Even with no-code tools and AI, lack of upfront architecture planning led to tangled logic and technical debt
