Inspiration
We were intrigued by the amount of asteroids in our solar system and who they could affect the rocket launches as a whole.
What it does
Our program takes the NEO database from Nasa and uploads it to a chart that then maps out where the asteroids are in solar system and their expected path. This is then compared to Earth's expected path and then it shows when the asteroids will come close to earth and how close.
How we built it
We built it using mainly python.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into the challenge of Android studio denying our python interpreter and therefore being unable to currently put it on an app. With more time we can surely fix that.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud on how well our graph came out to be and how we had no issues with the information being sourced from NEO.
What we learned
We learned that we should have reserved more time for Android Studio and how to properly extract information from NEO.
What's next for Sparc
Next is to build an app that then can be downloaded to be more user friendly while also having more information and useful diagrams.
