Inspiration
Like many others, we’ve experienced the frustrations of clutter in our daily lives. Earlier this year, we encountered a common scenario that highlighted this challenge: after purchasing two 36-packs of toilet paper, one of our housemates unknowingly bought an additional 24-pack. This oversight not only filled up half our storage space but also led to chaos, as other essential items spilled into our living area.
What it does
Creates a system that helps users keep their living and working spaces organized
How we built it
We built a full stack app using Swift, node.js, Pinata for file upload, and Salesforce's NLP model.
Challenges we ran into
Pinata does not support python whilst our AI image recognition feature uses Python so we had to creatively integrate the two.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We creatively incorporated the use of 2 external APIs that required different languages into one product.
What we learned
We learned that your first iteration of your project can always be improved and it is okay to adapt as we go.
What's next for Spaceify
Implementing features for analytics, giving insights on item usage and trends.
