Inspiration
Our inspiration was the common calculator with space as a theme
What it does
It is a calculator with the basic functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) as well as logarithmic functions and trigonometric functions
How we built it
We built our calculator using HTML and CSS to make the front-end, and JavaScript to make the back-end.
Challenges we ran into
We had to learn how to use GitHub, how to code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Beyond learning new coding languages, we also struggled with getting our calculator to hold history of every calculation and answer.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud that we were able to learn GitHub, get our calculator to work, and get our calculator to hold history.
What we learned
We learn how to use GitHub, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
What's next for SpaceCalculator
Since our calculator already has the capability to do every basic function of a calculator as well as the capability to do trigonometric and logarithmic functions, the only way we can improve upon SpaceCalculator is to add the ability to do more complex math like algebra and calculus. If we only had to make one improvement, we would give it the capability to do algebra.
