Our team registered the domains blackturtle.tech and winendine.online.
This first domain - blackturtle.tech - was inspired by tech legend Steve Job and his fashion choices. He and his black turtleneck have certainly made their mark in the tech industry, so we thought this domain married the man's style with his legacy in the perfect way.
Our second domain - winendine.online - was born out of the search for the ultimate rhyme. We also found this name fitting with the world's current state; hopeless singles can still "wine and dine" each other, but they must do so... online. Notice the "end" in the domain as well. This year has certainly felt like the end of something, whether it be our faith in humanity or our faith in ourselves.
We learned how expensive domains could be (ex. $1,688 first year for hotbananas.com) and that creativity is key when it comes to naming your website. Honestly, it was pretty challenging finding the right domain; it seems that witty people have snatched up some of the best ones. Even so, trying to come up with domain names was a fun experience, and one that we really enjoyed. :)
