Theta has the foundation for new users and gaming enthusiasts. We saw this opportunity as a challenge and decided to bring it to the community.
What it does
Join TDOG on his epic journey through space as he dodges space junk and accumulates Tfuel. Connect your wallet to earn Tfuel and to for in game purchases.
How we built it
We built the site with Unity and added the wallet connect.
Challenges we ran into
Connection to Theta Mainnet using Thirdweb / wallet connect:
- Establishing a stable and reliable connection to the Theta mainnet proved to be a significant hurdle. This issue impacted the game's ability to interact seamlessly with the blockchain, causing delays and disruptions in development.
- On-Chain Data Management
- Unlike other blockchain games, finding an effective way to store and manage game data on-chain was challenging. The existing tools and documentation for data management on Theta were not as comprehensive or straightforward, making it difficult to implement the desired features.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making the game a web 3 game was very difficult since there are not Wallet Connect SDK's that work with Theta.
What's next for Space Run
We plan to add additional levels, a leader board, and additional in game purchases.
