Inspiration
I really like video games and I was inspired by Pokemon to create a game where you can choose what type of move you want your character to do next. I was also inspired by Star Wars to model the story behind my game.
What it does
My code will output a series of questions including whether the player wants to attack or heal their character. The computer then makes a decision using a random number generator, and this continues until either the player or the computer run out of health.
How I built it
I used pygame on replit to create a visual for my game, and I used python to create the base of the game.
Challenges we ran into
I tried many different things including creating a discord bot, however, I ran into troubles on the way(maybe next year I will try that again). I went back to something I felt comfortable doing so I stuck with it.
Accomplishments that i'm proud of
I'm proud of doing this by myself and learning a new way to create games with pygame. I'm also proud of myself for finding something I enjoy and can later build off of.
What I learned
I learned pygame mainly and the basics of it, I also learned GitHub and some introduction to robotics.
What's next for Space Potato Brawl Game
Hopefully, I can add better visuals and learn how I can create a more well-built game as I move forward in my journey of programming.
