Inspiration
At Space Education, we are passionate about exploring the wonders of space and providing fascinating insights into the universe around us. Our goal is to offer you a unique perspective on the immense scales and incredible speeds that exist beyond our planet. Whether you're a space enthusiast, a student, or simply curious about the cosmos, we aim to make complex concepts accessible and engaging.
What it does
We built a website to offer you a unique perspective on the immense scales and incredible speeds that exist beyond our planet. Our website is kid friendly and allows young students to easily gain an understanding of outer space. How fast and big things really are in comparison to us and our own planet earth.
How we built it
We didn't use any IDEs, we only edited our files in GitHub. This was our very first time designing websites, so using GitHub files was the simplest approach.
Challenges we ran into
We had to rotate our page 90 degrees to display the information of planets in a viewable format. We also had to learn html, css, and js while creating this project because we didn't have any prior experience. We also ran into the trouble of trying to implement a timer into our website that corresponds to a certain element in our website so that the data would match.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of using scripts and arrays to display the speeds of various celestial objects. We learned how to use html, CSS, and JavaScript to create a horizontal parallax.
What we learned
We learned basic front end and back end web development. Through this we also learned how vast our universe it and the different speed and sizes of things in our universe.
