Inspiration

I wanted to test Bolt’s one-shot power by building a stylish gravity game in a single sprint.

What it does

Space Drift lets players steer a drifting ship around glowing planets, scoring by how long they stay alive.

How we built it

Everything lives in a front-end HTML5 canvas. Physics, parallax stars, SVG planets, and touch/keyboard controls were generated with a single Bolt prompt.

Challenges we ran into

Fine-tuning gravity to feel intuitive, keeping 60 FPS on mobile, and balancing planet spawn rates took the most tweaking.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Achieved smooth motion, responsive controls, and local high-score saving with zero backend.

What we learned

Bolt excels at rapid UI prototyping, and small physics games only need clever front-end logic, not servers.

What's next for Space Drift

Add cosmetic power-ups, optional leaderboards, and a replay-share feature once a backend is in place.
