Inspiration

Chatbot applications streamline interactions between people and services, enhancing customer experience. In contrast to your traditional customer service, your chatbot is available around the clock. It supports your customers even on weekends and late at night. It is also not impressed by a high number of requests. A bot can easily process them all at the same time without ever being overworked. So we worked on a project Space AR Companion that shows the planets using augmented reality and chatbots.

What it does

It provides information about the planets when a Query is made on the Whatsapp.It provides information about all the planets in solar system and all the major constellations.It also provides you with AR version and 3D model of the Planets using EchoAR.It would be your Ultimate Companion for learning basics about Space and Astronomy.

How we built it

We build the chatbot using TwilioML and Python.We used ngrok as an HTTP tunnel to connect it with Twilio Whatsapp Console.Twilio made it very easy for us to integrate Python with Whatsapp.When we make an query on Whatsapp it uses Twilio to send us an Automated Information about Planets and the Major Constellations along with Pics,3D and AR Model using EchoAR.We integrated Twilio with Echo AR to provide AR Experience using Whatsapp.

Challenges we ran into

The implementation of the entire project helped us realize the importance of collaboration and the dynamics of working in a team In every Hackathon, proper time management ⏰plays a crucial role that can become a determining factor for the overall progress; we understood the instrumentality of following the code of conduct ✨and treating fellow developers with respect while learning and improving through their feedback.

What we learned

We Learned more about the Implementation of Twilio on Whatsapp by making this project. It was a fun experience developing with Twilio. Twilio makes it very easy to make chatbot companions on Whatsapp and SMS.
