Inspiration
External circumstances, such as the Corona crisis, can cause the company to lose its location for socialization, face to face communication and interaction. We want to promote innovative approaches and best practices for digital work in public institutions. We are facilitate digital work in public authorities by means of supporting measures and thus further initiate a transformation process. The aim is to promote transparency, communication, and collaborative and cross-hierarchical work even though
What it does
We provide a catalog of actions that can be used individually for our main stakeholders, managers and employees, as well as apprentices, in their daily use and interaction with each other.
How we built it
Through purposeful dialogues and the evaluation of the problem with our clients from the cities of Dortmund and Wiesbaden, we were able to narrow down the subject area and the actors involved.
In digital brainstorming sessions, we cluster initial thoughts and highlight the most important points for further work. Due to the different working backgrounds, the team has expertise in different areas and can produce a diverse perspective.
Through the exchange with the group "Neues Arbeiten in Behörde und Verwaltung #3_05h045t" ( https://devpost.com/software/digitale-fuhrung-in-verwaltungen/joins/qMWUrj91s2xj5r_YwrQvPQ ) we can coordinate with a group close to the topic and get important Insides as well as the Power Point template, which was already created by them. Through this, we intend to create two final products which are useful to both clients. In addition, the group around the platform "Sopher" (https://devpost.com/software/sopher) turned out to be another interesting help and idea as a possible solution for an authority.
Further group work and coordination within the team takes place via video calls to create task packages. The individual tasks are completed individually and put together in final coordination with the team. The catalog of actions will be handed over to the city of Wiesbaden and Dortmund as a guideline for daily use.
Challenges we ran into
First, we all had to settle into the final group and get to know each other and the digital tools. Since our group included two clients, the challenge was to address both concerns with our catalog of actions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our team managed to combine many different aspects and create a group effort that was supported by everyone and not only by individual key players. Even though the group members were present at different times, we were always able to coordinate our schedules well and each person was able to contribute to the degree that was possible and desired.
What we learned
Although the goal may not be visualized at the beginning or even in the middle, the end result is a final product that reflects the thoughts, expertise and effort of each individual group member.
What's next for Sozialisationsort Betrieb im Wandel
We hope that our work at UpdateDeutschland will provide our clients with a practical tool which will also help to create added value in the authorities. Since we are all eager to see which changes will occur in Dortmund and Wiesbaden, or which actions will be initiated as a result, we have already decided to reunite in our group in a month's time in order to share the status and decide about next steps.
