Inspiration

We wanted to build a smart cooking assistant that helps people decide what to cook using the ingredients they already have.

What it does

SousChef takes user input and generates recipe ideas, cooking steps, and quick suggestions using AI.

How we built it

We used Jetpack Compose for the UI and integrated an AI API to generate recipes. The app focuses on a clean design and fast responses.

Challenges we ran into

Handling API responses smoothly, managing UI state, and improving AI prompts were the main challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a working AI-powered cooking assistant with a simple and user-friendly interface.

We learned about API integration, prompt design, and building responsive mobile UIs.

We plan to add voice input, personalization, and smarter recipe recommendations.
