Inspiration and Problem
I wanted to help people and specifically families during quarantine to find meals. Many people rely on food banks and free school lunches. There is a high risk to go out, meaning the people who rely on food banks and reduced school meals have a lack of food, SourceMeals helps people access resources to feed their families.
What it does
This website has 2 main functions. One is that it locates a local food bank's information using a California zip code (a function created using an API) and the second function (just a prototype) is that the user is able to input their information and receive a meal delivery from their local food bank. There are also other resources such as statistics, ways to get involved, and other websites to help provide for your family.
What's next for SourceMeals
Mostly, I would like to find an API that retrieves data from more than just California, and make the form request functional instead of just a prototype.
