Inspiration
I have recently had to write a scientific research paper and I was struggling for sources.
What it does
It finds 10 reliable sources that you might be able to use for your research by simply giving it your research topic.
How we built it
I built it using Python.
Challenges we ran into
Where to start? I finally decided on Wikipedia because it is usually the first site that appears when you search something up. However, not many teachers approve of Wikipedia, so I looked at the references part of Wikipedia and then went through those links.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am really proud of the website that I made. It is a really basic landing page but I still felt extremely proud when I finished.
What we learned
I learned how to get error codes from websites to see if they are still functional or if the user could get access.
What's next for Source Search
Speed. Source Search takes a bit longer than I would like for it to. I hope to develop this into an actual website or company that I could use. I would also like to keep it free, meaning I would have to get advertisements from other companies in order to make money.
