What it does

Support upcoming artists, by letting users by virtual shares of their streaming revenue. If the artists blows up in the future, both profit. Basically a stock exchange for trading music artists streams.

How we built it

Using Spring Boot we implemented a very very basic backend in Java. Theoretically there is a frontend, but it is not connected.

Challenges we ran into

Apart from one team member who knew a little frontend with js (which we didn't use in the end, because he was sadly inaccessible for most of the 36 hours), we all had neither an idea how to implement such a project, nor had we much programming skills aside from university (at least considering what was needed for this challenge). Therefore we mostly researched what frameworks where, how to use them, which languages are popular and so on. In the end we basically tried different setups, had a lot of problems with even starting and didn't really produce a working result, that is presentable. Also for the latter half of Saturday, there was only one team member available for working on the project, which also limited the capabilities.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

At least I can say for myself, that I learned a lot about frameworks, how to work with Spring, how to integrate MySQL db into a project and how to program a full-stack web application (although the web part is debatable, considering our final product). I can't really speak for my other teammates, but Lúis, who did our simple presentation, and Kilian, who worked for most of the time with me on the backend, surely learned their fair share of new stuff, as well as Mateus, who probably further refined his js skills. In any case, I am quite proud about the new things all of us took out of this. Lastly, our business idea behind the project is also worth mentioning. Where we better programmers, this surely wouldn't be such a bad employment after all.
