SoundSafe

Inspiration

Our inspiration was all of the AI chatbots such as Claude, ChatGPT, and etc.

What it does

SoundSafe is an AI chatbot that gives music recommendations based on a knowledge base we created from a dataset.

How we built it

We built the front-end through Streamlit. Used Ollama (Llama 3.1) to make the chatbot, and used Jupyter to analyze the data to create a knowledge base for chatbot. Code was mostly made by looking through documentation. Very few lines of code were written by AI. We used Claude to double check syntax, and for help by walking us through what steps to take while coding.

Challenges we ran into

We spent a lot of time at the start of the competition trying to analyze the data which limited our time for our final product. We also ran into some technical difficulties with creating accounts to access Jupyter.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a product from start to finish.

What we learned

We learned how to use Streamlit, Ollama, and Jupyter better through the documentation.
