SoundMaze started as a an idea of simulating what it would be like to be sight-impaired. Often in our society, it is hard to imagine and thus empathize with the hardships of others whose circumstances differ from our own. While only modelling a small part of what a sight-impaired individual might experience in a day, we hoped to bridge the gap between perception and reality by creating a maze that is navigable solely by sound.
Built in Unity, we created SoundMaze as an Android application for use with Google Cardboard. So close your eyes and let a chorus of birds guide you through the SoundMaze.
