SoundLoop

Inspiration

We realized most people never use half the perks or rewards they already earn, they’re buried in emails, scattered across apps, or forgotten at checkout. Credit unions exist to give back, yet members rarely see that value. We wanted to turn those invisible benefits into real, visible community impact.

What it does

SoundLoop is an AI-powered perks companion that automatically finds, applies, and reinvests member benefits. It shows every hidden reward in one place, applies cashback automatically after purchases, and lets members donate unused perks or small savings to local causes, closing the loop between personal gain and community good.

How we built it

We built SoundLoop using React for the frontend and Tailwind CSS for clean, responsive styling. All data, transactions, perks, and local offers, was created as mock data to simulate Sound Credit Union’s ecosystem.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing personalization and simplicity, to ensure it included everything a customer would need while not letting it be too overwhelming. Integrating multiple perk sources into one consistent format took time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud that SoundLoop isn’t a usual rewards app, it shows how a credit union can give back in real time. Our prototype auto-applies cashbacks (because who doesn’t love free cash?) and then channels a portion toward community causes, making every transaction feel rewarding and purposeful. In under 24 hours, we built a working concept that turns “member benefits” into a visible loop of saving, giving, and belonging.
