Inspiration

My inspiration was to build the world's first smart speaker message board. I was hoping to give people a way to just easily post what they are feeling and also hear what others are feeling. For many people, it is easier just to "stream of consciousness" say what they are feeling rather than typing

What it does

Users are able to post whatever is on their mind by starting with "OK Google, talk to Sounding Board." You can also hear other people's posts or reply to posts.

How I built it

Build on Google Assistant and Firebase.

Challenges I ran into

Without a screen, it is difficult to keep tracking of many concurrent threads so at this point I am allowing just a post and replies and not replies to replies, etc.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

As far as a I know this is the first actual digital assistant message board.

What I learned

It's always more work than you think!

What's next for Sounding Board

I would like the ability to direct message people.
