Inspiration

Have you ever wanted to download tracks and playlists from SoundCloud ?, I have! That's why I created this CLI utility to allow users to download and search from SoundCloud.

What it does

  • Download tracks by URL.
  • Search in-app and download.
  • Save tracks with tags/metadata : Artwork Image, Creation Date, Author Name.
  • Multiple formats and qualities.
  • Blazingly Fast
  • Download playlists.

How we built it

Built using Go! Blazingly Fast

Challenges we ran into

  • I had some deadlocks and race conditions.
  • Progress bar had some issues.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that this project has many likes and forks.

What we learned

  • Go: the project was one of 4 projects I decided to create in my Go learning journey!

What's next for Soundcloud-dl

  • Download user's tracks and playlists. (coming soon).
  • Other utilities that might be needed by users.
