Soul's health and fundamental freedoms in Covid19 time

Our idea was born from the fact that the health of the body cannot be divided from the health of the soul, which can strongly favor the immune system. Moreover the fight against Covid disease is requiring the introduction of complicated organizational, technical and legal measures over a period of time.

In times of emergency Covid 19, an online platform must be available in all public and private health facilities, subject to agreements with religious denominations, to guarantee spiritual assistance to all those who are hospitalized there and also to health workers, given that it is a fundamental right recognized by the Constitutions of numerous States. Moreover throughout that period, our project is intended to ensure good governance and social cohesion, protecting fundamental rights like the right to peaceful assembly, the right to demonstrate, the freedom of speech, the right to education and privacy rights, specially with regard to freedom of conscience and freedom of religion

The platform must allow different users (sick hospitalized, elderly in nursing homes or private homes, quarantined believers, health workers) to connect with the ministers of worship of their creed, so that every personal need can be met spiritual and religious, worship or catechesis, both with live connection and through the use of specially created audio / video content, making the experience personalized, so that the relationship can continue even after the end of the pandemic. Moreover in our jobs, we are reflecting about the optimal relation between the respect of the essence of privacy rights and the necessary purposes mentioned above and we can help to provide an optimum response about it.

Covid19 tests both the order of competence of States and that of the Churches and their mutual relationship, imposing the adoption of new tools to allow a balance between the right to health and that of religious freedom, providing for new ways of exercise of freedom of worship. At the same time, our project is offering knowledge, skills and necessary scientific and technical tools to implement solutions.

As in past epidemics, even today religions, as they lived in their own collective dimension, have been the protagonists of Covid 19. The same restrictive measures on freedom of worship assumed by all governments, which have prevented living, demonstrate this one's religious belief in community.

The online videos of religious celebrations, if on the one hand they fill the gap of participating individually in a ritual, do not allow you to experience it in the collective dimension. Religions represent a valid intermediary to guarantee social cohesion in a time that is not as easy as the present one. About privacy rights, on the one hand, the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 states that processing of personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and the processing of data concerning health shall be prohibited. On the other hand, at the same time, the rule provide two exceptions particularly important at the present time: first, when processing is necessary for the purposes of preventive or occupational medicine, for the assessment of the working capacity of the employee, medical diagnosis, the provision of health or social care or treatment or the management of health or social care systems and services and, second, when is necessary for reasons of public interest in the area of public health or ensuring high standards of quality and safety of health care and of medicinal products or medical devices.
