Inspiration

We are social creatures and connection is one of our psychological needs.

But we live in a time where we spend significantly more time behind screens than in face to face interactions. Because of our lifestyles, we’re losing our interpersonal skills, and loneliness is only growing.

Soul was inspired to reverse this.

What it does

Soul connects you to women near you to meet in-person and engage in deep, soulful conversations to create these connections that flourish your well being.

Through our soul community, we connect you in-person to like-minded women to engage in meaningful conversations that nourish your growth, confidence and fulfillment.

How we built it

We created a prototype on Figma, and aimed to create a working site on visual studio HTML.

Challenges we ran into

1. To create a working prototype that looked how we wanted it to visually and functionally
2. To create a working website with functioning buttons and functioning Google Maps API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Having an idea that aims to solve a real life problem: loneliness and disconnection.

What we learned

That creating a working website is not easy in 25 hours.

What's next for Soul

To go live, and expand to all people (not just women), and connect the human family through compassionate, deep conversations that help us evolve as human beings.
