Inspiration
In this challenge I tried to use a language I didn't know before, Kotlin. Since I was using a new language, I decided to do the "Hello world" of sorting, Insertion Sort.
What it does
First it generates a random number that will determine the length of the array, then it creates an array that will have number ranging from 0 to 100. Finally, the function is called with the array as argument, the Insertion Sort algorithm runs and then the list is sorted.
How we built it
I first documented myself on the differences between Kotlin and Java and then I started creating the algorithm
Challenges we ran into
I realized that val and var are particularly important in Kotlin and that List are immutable in Kotlin, so I changed to ArrayList.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I loved the syntax of Kotlin and I'm proud of how fast I got used to it.
What we learned
I learned about the syntax, some libraries and how to create my first program with Kotlin.
What's next for Sort a List Challenge
Maybe implement a harder sorting algorithm or make it in a graphical way.
