The goal is to combine strategic gameplay with the excitement of collecting and trading unique NFT cards, offering a new dimension to the gaming world.
What it does
Soroban Battles is a revolutionary game that allows players to engage in strategic card battles using their unique NFT card collection. Players can mint their own NFT cards, each with distinct attributes, abilities, and rarity. These cards are used in battles against other players to accumulate health points and achieve victory. Additionally, the game introduces a groundbreaking feature that allows players to stake their NFT cards for a chance to win other valuable NFTs, adding a high-stakes competitive element to the gameplay.
How we built it
Soroban Battles was constructed using React.js for the frontend and Rust for the backend. Deployment was done using Docker, and the integration with the Freighter wallet on the FutureNet platform was a key part of the development process.
Challenges we ran into
During the development of Soroban Battles, we encountered several challenges. Firstly, deploying the game on the Stellar network proved to be a daunting task, as the documentation was limited, and there were only a few existing projects to refer to for guidance. Understanding and navigating the intricacies of the network took a significant amount of time and effort. Additionally, integrating the wallet functionality into the game posed its own set of challenges, requiring careful consideration and technical expertise.

One of our proudest achievements in Soroban Battles is our ability to create a dynamic combat system that allows players to engage in both offensive and defensive strategies. We've implemented various strike options that players can use strategically against their opponents, adding depth and excitement to the gameplay
