Inspiration
Have you ever spent so much time planning a trip that by the time you finally arrived at your destination, the biggest relief was simply that all that preparation was over? We are building VacatAI, your AI assistant taking care of time-consuming process of planning your next trips and vacations, from deciding a suitable destinations to picking best trip options (accommodations, flights, activities).
What it should be able to do
User will be able to specify his idea of a perfect vacation through a simple conversation. Application will guide user through process of exploration, providing tips and suggestions. Goal is to create deeply personalised filters which will be used for searching best experiences end-to-end, providing concrete accommodation, flight and activities offers.
Main goal of the application was to search for best trips and deals so the user could save their valuable time. AI assistant would recommend whole trips with flights and accommodations based on his conversation with the assistant. It would also rate these trips.
How we built it
We have built a mobile application and a backend integrating OpenAI LLMs and external APIs providing accommodation data.

What's next
Flight recommendation: Because of lack of time, we did not implement this feature, however it would greatly improve the experience
Activities in chosen location: Showing user what activities they can do in destination location would be huge plus
Best deals and discounts scouting: It would search for better deals or discounts on internet and social media
General improvement: Making the chatbot more robust, helpful and precise
