Inspiration:

In today's digital age, feedback is the compass that directs a brand's evolution. With sooka being a freemium streaming service, I often noticed how impactful user feedback from platforms like the Google Playstore and Apple Appstore was. It struck me that there was so much invaluable feedback flowing in daily, but without a central hub, we were missing out on extracting real-time insights from it. This realization was my eureka moment: the birth of the sooka Operations Dashboard project.

What I Learned:

The journey of creating the dashboard was an enlightening one. I discovered the intricacies of API interactions, delved deeper into the capabilities of DynamoDB for data storage, and uncovered the vast potential of Qualtrics for representation. Every piece of data, every review, had a story to tell. Learning to condense, visualize, and respond to this multitude of stories was a lesson in itself.

How I Built My Project:

Starting with the end goal in mind, I began by mapping out the data flow. First on the list was creating data scripts to call APIs from both the Playstore and Appstore. This allowed me to aggregate daily user feedback. Then, utilizing DynamoDB, I stored the feedback, ensuring it was readily accessible for the next phase. Integrating this stored data with Qualtrics was the final step. With Qualtrics' robust survey capabilities, the operations team could get a holistic view of user feedback daily, turning raw data into actionable insights.

Challenges Faced:

Every project has its fair share of hiccups, and mine was no exception. One of the initial challenges was ensuring that the daily data pulled was accurate and without redundancy. Streamlining this process took trial and error, but perseverance paid off. Integrating with Qualtrics also presented its hurdles. Merging external data with an existing system meant I had to ensure compatibility, accuracy, and that the user experience wasn't compromised. Lastly, visual representation of data is an art, and achieving a balance between aesthetics and functionality was a challenge that demanded both creativity and technical prowess.

In conclusion, the sooka Operations Dashboard project was more than just about creating a tool; it was a journey of discovery, learning, and innovation. It was about turning feedback into foresight and ensuring that every user's voice, captured in reviews, became a stepping stone for sooka's evolution.
