Song Recommender

Inspiration

We all enjoy listening to music and making playlists with our favorite songs, so we thought it would be a cool idea to create a project that relates to music and playlists.

What it does

This program takes in a song from the user. Then, the program outputs ten songs that are similar to the song that was inputted by the user.

How we built it

We came together as a group and started brainstorming and planning the program that we wanted to build. Once we created a blueprint of the program, we were able to start coding.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into many challenges while building this program. The syntax for python was a challenge that we faced since all of us have mainly coded in java or c++. We had to learn the python language as we were coding.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of not giving up and finishing the program even when it seemed like we weren't going to finish in time.

What we learned

Throughout coding this program, we all learned a lot in the python language since none of us were familiar with the language. We were able to learn and apply different concepts in python.

What's next for Song Recommender

We would like to hopefully continue developing this program so that it could be more advanced and more accurate. We would also like to possibly output this program in a website format for users.
