Inspiration

We enjoy hardware and wanted to create a simulation of a submarine that can monitor and detect any objects in the ocean.

What it does

This submarine simulator can detect what color an object. By detecting the color, it can inform the recipient if the object is red, green, white, and blue. Depending on the color, you are informed if the object is considered a danger or not.

How we built it

We used resistors, LED lights, an arduino, color sensor, ultrasonic sensor, analog joystick, LCD board, a bread board, as well as female and male wires.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled with having to correct the code to make sure the colors were displaying properly. We also had trouble making sure that our ultrasonic senor works as intended.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We completed an arduino code that informed us about the color that was sensed of an object.

What we learned

We learned about color sensors and ultrasonic sensors in arduino in object detection.
