Inspiration

This is based on my younger self as the ideal client. This is a product my younger self would want when I first start in my career.

What it does

It is going to analyze the portfolio website especially for professional photographer. It is going to help photographer attracting clients with SEO. In addition, it gives advices on how to improve the portfolio to help the clients feeling confident to book the service.

How we built it

We are using Canva SDK to build this application.

Challenges we ran into

  • We came into a realization that the problem is not critical to Canva user. People ignore the problems and still use Canva. We identify the wrong customer persona.
  • Using the right language to tell the potential clients
  • The targeted customer for Canva - finally find out to pick photographer
  • Come up with questions for the people I need to interview
  • Getting people to agree to be interviewed ## Accomplishments that we're proud of

What we learned

  • We need to research who is using Canva to have an understanding of the potential customer before researching about the problem
  • Things we found which is Canva weakness does not matter to the targeted customer. People ignore it and still use Canva.
  • Canva is a drag and drop website builder. The way Canva describe themselves is so complicated.
  • People don't know what the problem they face but when they kind of mention about the product or some related questions. Example: I ask a person how long it takes to build their website, they mentioned about stuff that is time consuming. That is where I find out about the problem.

  • Having to redesign the whole survey after talking to a president of a camera club. Just to realize the problem I am picking is totally not relevant.

What's next for something

We are going to work on validate the concept better. If we are able to get funding, we are going to do some advertisement to make sure people love this app.
