AI-Powered Visual Shopping Agent

Our project is an AI shopping agent that turns online fashion discovery into a visual, personalized experience. Instead of forcing shoppers to search through filters and static product grids, users can describe what they want naturally, upload a photo of themselves, and discover clothing from connected retail catalogs through visual and conversational search.

The experience combines three capabilities: visual product discovery, AI-assisted styling, and virtual try-on. A shopper can search using an image, natural-language request, or both; the system identifies relevant products from retailer catalogs and can build complete outfits around the shopper's preferences. Once a product is selected, the shopper can instantly see how the garment looks on their own photo using Perfect Corp.'s AI Clothes Virtual Try-On technology. Perfect Corp. supports image-based clothes try-on for tops, bottoms, and complete outfits, making it possible to move directly from product discovery to personalized visualization.

The key difference is that try-on is not an isolated feature. It is embedded directly into the shopping agent's decision loop:

"Find something like this" → "Show me options" → "Build an outfit" → "Try it on me" → "Choose" → "Buy."

For consumers, this reduces the uncertainty of shopping for clothing online. Instead of judging an item only from a model photograph, shoppers can visualize it in a context that is personally relevant to them. For retailers, the experience creates richer product engagement, helps shoppers make more informed purchase decisions, and turns static catalogs into interactive shopping experiences. Perfect Corp. specifically positions its Fashion APIs for ecommerce sites, mobile applications, marketplaces, product pages, retail platforms, and digital campaigns.

The longer-term vision is an agentic visual commerce layer: an AI that understands what a shopper is looking for, searches across a retailer's inventory, assembles compatible products, visualizes those products on the shopper, and ultimately helps them complete the purchase. This changes ecommerce from browsing a catalog into interacting with a personal digital stylist and fitting room.
