Inspiration My passion for technology and solving real business problems inspired me to build SolveSavant. Many organizations still manage IT incidents through emails, spreadsheets, and disconnected tools. I wanted to create a modern SaaS platform that makes incident management simple for users, configurable for administrators, and insightful for managers. What it does SolveSavant is an AI-enabled SaaS incident management application. It helps users create and track incidents, support teams assign and update tickets, managers monitor workload and SLA risks, and administrators configure projects, groups, ticket types, components, priorities, environments, notifications, and service rules. It also includes a controlled admin AI assistant that can help administrators retrieve approved configuration and operational information through secure, read-only data tools. How we built it We built SolveSavant using Oracle APEX, Oracle Autonomous Database, PL/SQL, and a multi-tenant SaaS architecture. The application includes role-based screens for users, assigned support staff, managers, and administrators. The AI assistant is integrated through native APEX AI capabilities and controlled database package tools. Instead of allowing unrestricted AI access to the database, the assistant uses approved, tenant-aware, read-only operations. Challenges we ran into One challenge was building a flexible platform without making administration complicated. Different organizations use different ticket types, projects, groups, priorities, and SLA rules. Another challenge was protecting data in a multi-tenant SaaS model. We needed to ensure that users, reports, attachments, and AI responses remain limited to the correct organization and authorized role. We also worked through practical workflow challenges such as secure attachments, screenshot pasting in ticket comments, notifications, password handling, and AI safety controls. Accomplishments that we're proud of Built a complete incident management workflow from ticket creation to resolution. Created role-based dashboards for users, managers, and administrators. Developed smart, guided admin configuration screens and Excel-based setup support. Added SLA-aware ticket handling, notifications, workload views, and manager reports. Designed a secure, tenant-aware data model for SaaS usage. Implemented a controlled admin AI assistant that uses approved data tools instead of arbitrary database access. Created a professional SolveSavant website, product demo, and presentation materials. What we learned We learned that innovation is not only about adding AI—it is about making technology useful, secure, and easy to adopt. We also learned that strong SaaS applications need more than attractive screens. They need thoughtful workflows, clear role-based experiences, flexible configuration, secure data boundaries, and a practical path for administrators to onboard their teams. What’s next for SolveSavant AI SaaS Incident Management Application Next, we plan to strengthen the AI assistant with more approved operational questions, improve analytics and SLA reporting, enhance notification workflows, and expand integration options for enterprise identity and employee-directory systems. We also plan to pilot SolveSavant with real organizations, collect feedback from IT teams, refine onboarding, and continue evolving the platform into a scalable and secure SaaS solution for growing businesses.
