We are inspired by an app called BlackBox but wanted to make it more social, built with the newest technology, and our own creative twists.

Go beyond the touchscreen, your phone is made of sensors, data, settings, and much more that can go beyond infinite scrolling.

Explore The World Around You

You'll have to do more than limit yourself to one area physically and virtually, do more with your phone.

Build Your Team

To SOLVE you have to be social, form a team and race the other team to the finish line.

TLDR

We are all accustomed to constant tapping and swiping on our phones, but often, to SOLVE we have to rethink. SOLVE encourages brainstorming, creativity, and communication as if you were in an escape room.

How we built it

We built the backend in NodeJS with Hop to deploy the backend, the user-facing app is built in Swift, and UI is built with SwiftUI.

Challenges we ran into

At first, we had some indecisiveness on the idea and eventually implementation, however, we decided on this idea! Additionally, we had to use various iOS tech to create puzzles which required a lot of research and problem-solving.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to say we created a multiplayer game that uses many new technologies introduced in the past few months!

What we learned

We learned to be more decisive to save time and to research thoroughly to prevent any simple and complex errors.

What's next for SOLVE: Rethink Your Phone

We'll likely launch SOLVE on the App Store, but first, we'll do some beta testing on TestFlight. We also hope to integrate Hop's Pipe service to add video calling support to our app for online games.
