What it does

The Solve for Why adventure invites the player to explore PHI-108’s unique music and lyrics, the philosophy-based quests, and to participate in our weekly meet up where we dive into thought-provoking topics. What’s new? We’ve added an upper echelon with a new song, which players can unlock once they’ve reached 1000 points on our brand new leaderboard.

The Saturday night event series is called Solve for Why with Starpool: Explore topics that make you dig deep and ask the big questions that revolve around “Why?” There will be thought-provoking quotes, lyrics, and stories followed by discussion and Q&A.

How we built it

We used both the headset and desktop editor to make additions.

Challenges we ran into and What we learned

When attempting to add a new song using the new audio upload option, there was a 50 megabyte maximum. We didn’t want to reduce the audio quality so we used VB Cable instead. We also learned that code block scripts can’t be duplicated and edited since they are now file backed. This discovery steered us to use typescript to create the leaderboard.

Stepping over into the social media aspect of things on Instagram and Discord.

What's next for Solve for Why

Solve for Why must continue to evolve, lead by example right? Unlocking another level via the point system to earn a Solve for Why t-shirt or other wearables would be brilliant once this feature is available. And of course, building a community, one heart at a time.
