How we built it
I created SOLEN as a narrative sci-fi short film that reflects how humans often fear what they don’t understand. The story follows AVOX, a gentle caretaker robot who is hated by society but continues to care for the last human who accepts him.
All of the visuals were generated using Seedream and Veo 3.1, where I directed each shot through detailed text prompts to control lighting, tone, and cinematic movement. I wanted every frame to feel quiet yet emotionally heavy, a world of rust, warmth, and solitude.
After generating the footage, I edited everything in CapCut, adjusting pacing, color, and sound effects to enhance the mood. I intentionally avoided music, relying only on ambient sounds to emphasize AVOX’s loneliness and the silence of the world around him.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was keeping the emotional consistency across different AI tools while making sure the film still felt human. In the end, SOLEN became more than an AI project, it became a personal reflection on empathy, isolation, and the fear of the unfamiliar.
