This project began with a simple note on my phone and my love of hiking, mountains, and nature. I originally imagined it as a playful adventure - a big hiking boot turning into different modes of transport. But as I started creating the scenes, the story quietly shifted into a love journey.

It reminded me that while AI is new, the themes we connect to are universal: the hero’s journey, longing, reunion. I learned how much my ideas evolve as I animate them, and how naturally I gravitate toward magical realism - one of the reasons I enjoy working with AI so much.

I built the piece using Freepik, Kling, Flux Kontext, Veo 2, and CapCut, expanding an earlier four-scene clip into a fuller narrative with emotional depth. The biggest challenges were maintaining consistency - keeping the boot recognizable across very different environments and generating accurate left/right versions, and achieving natural animation in surreal moments like hopping, floating, or paragliding.

But shaping these elements into a coherent, wordless arc was incredibly rewarding, and the project grew into something more heartfelt than I expected.
