Inspiration
Inspired by Sole Effects current struggle to connect with students and keep track of their progress
What it does
Using live chat to contact college students, a contact segment to talk to admin, an interactive page to explain the methods used, google forms to keep track of journals, an interactive calendar to schedule sessions with college students, a linked spotify page with inspirational music, and a page with resources for suicidal or depressed students.
How we built it
We used php, javascript, css, and html.
Challenges we ran into
We had to make our resources page and live chat feature both accessible on the computer and mobile devices.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made our website relatable to teenagers by adding the music segment with a spotify playlist, a page with websites attached for resources, and google forms that students are used to using through their school programs.
What we learned
We expanded our knowledge using a variety of code and learned problem solving skills and how to work as a team.
What's next for Sole Effects, Hackers with Sole
We plan on making a formal login system for users and staff members and have more interactive pages for each college student.
