Inspiration

As a group we wanted to create a simple, hands-free way to manage your time as well as your finances. This way, people can be smarter about the way they use their money. The name "Soldise" (sol-dice) comes from the latin word "Soldi", which translates to "coin" or "money", as well as wise which signifies the increased knowledge that a user obtains from the app's use.

What it does

Takes in your banking information as well as email/password and outputs AI-generated long term and short term financial goals as well as daily tips to encourage users to check the app often.

How we built it

For the frontend we used dart with Flutter, for the user authentication we used Firebase, for the output we used Plaid and OpenAI APIs as well as flask.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced was working with the APIs for our backend. On the frontend, we struggled with making the Dashboard page more complex.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully completed the app! We implemented difficult to manage API's with flutter. We designed a pleasing UI with good ideas behind it.

What we learned

After the competition we have learned how to manage our time, how to delegate tasks to each other, how to communicate with each other, and how to be efficient with our programming strategies.

What's next for Soldise

We plan on improving Soldise by fixing up the problems we had and things we couldn't implement on the app due to the lack of time and general in-experience.
