Inspiration The lack of financial education in most people was our inspiration to offer help in this area.

What it does Saldín finds the most efficient payment plan to achieve your financial freedom.

How we built it The way we created our project was by developing an algorithm in Python with the purpose of being a financial analysis tool to optimize and streamline debt payments. Once the functional code was ready, it was transferred to JavaScript and finally to HTML to incorporate it into the main webpage.

Challenges we ran into These were our main challenges when building Saldín: Getting the algorithm to run and distinguish itself from basic debt calculators, programming language differences, integrating the front end with the backend, and the combination of variables in HTML.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We managed to turn a complex algorithm into a tool that anyone with very basic financial knowledge can use to their advantage to manage and pay off their debts.

What we learned We’ve learned countless things over the past 24 hours, including working with version control methods, combining multiple programming languages in one project, converting Python to HTML, and handling CSS.

What's next We want Saldin to be a free tool that anyone can use to better structure their debt payments, allowing them to go through this process in the best way possible. Since it will be a free tool, we plan to generate revenue through ads and partnerships with debt relief companies.
