Inspiration

-Rural household electrification is the dream of our nation. -Solar power is the only affordable source for rural electrification. -India is endowed with vast solar energy potential. About 5,000 trillion kWh per year energy is incident over India's land area with most parts receiving 4-7 kWh per sq. m per day. -This work proposes a Cost Effective Intelligent energy management system which consists of Solar PV panel and intelligent inverter

What it does

-Integrates Solar, EV, Cooking system to bring the levelized cost below < Rs.10

-Provides DC Fast / Bidirectional Charging to exchange the power

-Comparatively cheap and indigenous solution

-Maintenance free equipment with simple design.

How we built it

-We built with solar panel (300kv) which at morning it changes the inverter battery, EV battery and provide power supply to the home during daytime. At the night time inverter battery start to discharge and when the inverter battery is drained EV starts to discharge

Challenges we ran into

-Setting up of rural electricity infrastructure -Supply of electricity at affordable rates -Skilled labor to maintain the system

Accomplishments that we're proud of

-Load scheduling and profile management: Inverter with smart control scheme which can perform load profiling, load categorization and load scheduling is employed. -Track and extract maximum power from BOL to EOL -The smart control scheme also involves monitoring of battery voltage, charge status, load activity and State of Health (SOH) -Power exchange between the Inverter battery and EV battery -To ensure the uninterruptable power supply during night hours.

What we learned

-we learned solar panel specifications and battery specifications. -we learned intilegent energy management system. -we learned bidirectional DC to DC charging.

What's next for Solar Powered

Electrification for Rural Households in India We dicided to implement smart grid system which helps to share the power the between the neighboures.
