Inspiration
Addressing the rise in air pollution and its health impacts motivated us to develop a device for real-time air quality monitoring.
What it does
The detector measures pollutants like PM2.5, CO, NO2, and VOCs, providing real-time air quality data through a display and mobile app notifications.
How we built it
We used sensors for pollutant measurement, a microcontroller for data processing, and a wireless module for connectivity. The data is displayed on a screen and through a mobile app.
Challenges we ran into
Ensuring sensor accuracy and optimizing power consumption were key challenges we faced.
Accomplishments we're proud of
We created a functional prototype that provides accurate real-time air quality data and integrates with a mobile app.
What we learned
We gained insights into sensor calibration, hardware-software integration, and optimizing device power usage.
What's next for air pollution detector
We plan to enhance the device with advanced sensors, improve accuracy, and expand its accessibility and features for broader use.
