Inspiration
I wanted to create a portfolio that breaks the mold of traditional developer websites. Inspired by the Halloween season and the rise of AI-assisted development, I envisioned a space where creativity meets cutting-edge technology. The goal was to showcase not just my projects, but my philosophy: Vibe Coding — building with intuition, speed, and AI augmentation.
What it does
This portfolio is a fully responsive, interactive showcase of my work as an AI Architect and DevOps Engineer. It features:
- A haunted aesthetic with neumorphic design and Halloween-themed animations
- Dynamic project cards with tilt effects and hover interactions
- An experience timeline highlighting my freelance work and technical leadership
- Direct links to my GitHub, LinkedIn, and Resume
- A custom cursor and ambient fog effects for an immersive experience
How we built it
I leveraged AI-powered development tools to accelerate the build:
- KIRO for intelligent code completion and refactoring
- Tailwind CSS for rapid, utility-first styling
- Vanilla JavaScript for lightweight, performant interactions
- Custom CSS animations for the spooky effects (floating ghosts, glowing elements, fog canvas)
- Tilt.js for 3D card effects
- Deployed on Vercel with continuous integration
The entire project was built in record time using Vibe Coding principles — letting AI handle boilerplate while I focused on creative direction.
Challenges we ran into
- Performance optimization: Balancing heavy animations with smooth scrolling required careful CSS optimization and GPU acceleration
- Responsive design: Making the Halloween theme work seamlessly across mobile and desktop without losing the spooky vibe
- Custom cursor: Implementing a smooth, non-janky custom cursor that works across different screen sizes
- Accessibility: Ensuring the dark theme and decorative elements didn't compromise readability or usability
