A story selection DAO would be a natural extension of this trend, using NFTs and tokens to create a new ecosystem for storytelling. Fanfiction and user-generated content: Another inspiration could come from the world of fanfiction and user-generated content, where readers and writers create their own stories based on their favorite characters and worlds. A story selection DAO could provide a platform for these writers to share their work and be rewarded for their contributions. Literary communities: Finally, the inspiration for a story selection DAO could come from the world of traditional publishing and literary communities, where readers and writers come together to share and discuss their work. A story selection DAO could provide a new platform for these communities to interact and engage with each other, while also introducing new incentives for participation and engagement.

What it does

A story selection DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is a community-driven platform that allows readers to collect life force coins by reading stories, participating in the selection of where stories go, being active on Discord, playing games, and purchasing life force tokens. The platform is built on blockchain technology, which allows for a secure and transparent way of tracking user engagement and rewarding users for their contributions. The main goal of the story selection DAO is to create a new ecosystem for storytelling that incentivizes user engagement and rewards creators for their work. Users can collect life force coins by reading stories, participating in community activities, and purchasing tokens. These life force coins can then be used to level up their characters, which can be traded between tribes. The story selection DAO also provides a platform for writers to share their work and be rewarded for their contributions. Writers can earn royalties, flat fees, or token rewards for the creation of NFTs that sell well. This incentivizes writers to create high-quality and popular content, and also aligns their interests with the success of the platform. In addition to providing a new platform for storytelling, the story selection DAO also allows users to share in the profits generated by the platform. The 7500 DAO members can share in the profits from the subscriptions of the readers as well as any sales of life force coins and game tokens. This ensures that the success of the platform is shared among all participants and provides a powerful incentive for users to continue to engage with the platform and contribute to its growth.

How we built it

Planning and Conceptualization: The first step in building a DAO is to define the DAO's objectives and features, such as the types of stories to feature, the token economics, and the governance structure. Blockchain Platform: Choose a blockchain platform that supports smart contracts, such as Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain. The blockchain platform is necessary for creating and managing NFTs, as well as the distribution of tokens to users. Smart Contract Development: Develop the smart contract that defines the rules and logic of the DAO. This contract includes functions for creating and managing NFTs, distributing tokens to users, and managing governance and voting rights. User Interface Development: Develop a user-friendly and engaging interface that allows users to browse the available stories, purchase NFTs, and engage with the community. This can be done using front-end development tools such as React or Angular. Tokenomics and Incentives: Define the tokenomics of the DAO, including the distribution of tokens to users and the incentives for participation. This includes designing a reward system for readers and writers, such as providing royalties, flat fees, or token rewards for the creation of popular NFTs. Testing and Launch: Once the DAO has been developed, it needs to be thoroughly tested to ensure it is functioning correctly and securely. Once testing is complete, the DAO can be launched to the public. Maintenance and Upgrades: After the DAO is launched, it needs to be maintained and upgraded to ensure it stays up to date with the latest blockchain technology and user requirements. Working alone on such a complex project can be challenging, as it requires a broad range of skills and knowledge across multiple domains, including blockchain development, smart contract development, user interface design, community management, and more. However, being able to successfully build a story selection DAO as a team of 1 demonstrates a high level of competency and dedication to the project, as well as the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced and constantly evolving field. Additionally, building a story selection DAO as a team of 1 can also be an impressive accomplishment in terms of cost and resource efficiency. Without the need for a large team, the DAO can potentially operate at lower costs, which can help attract users and investors who are looking for a platform that is lean and efficient. While these decisions were not easy, we did what we felt was necessary to ensure the success of our project.
