Inspiration

Mothers shouting at their kids proclaiming "Leaving Computer/Games Console/Chargers plugged in is increasing energy bill considerably"

What it does

A socket that appliances are plugged into which is then plugged into existing sockets on the wall. This socket will collect data about the power usage of the appliances and send the data to a web application. From the web application the user can see trends in power usage data and remotely turn on/off the sockets.

How we built it

Unfortunately we didn't have the resources and knowledge to build it. We just came up with a cool idea.

Thinking of a marketable idea in such a short time.
