Inspiration

As soon as we went through all the challenges we realized this was the one which suited the best our different skills. We thought we could all contribute in some way to this challenge in particular.

What it does

The project we have developed allows the user to check several social networks (Facebook, Twitter and Google+, but it would be easy to extend the functionality to support more platforms) and allows some filterings and searches.

How I built it

We structured the project in a web application based in Spring Boot for the server and AngularJS and Bootstrap for the client side.

Challenges I ran into

We had some difficulties with the APIs for some platforms. Some of the features we were hoping to use turned out to be deprecated and no longer available, so we had to evaluate how to integrate them.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Developing this application in such a short time and of course teambuilding with the rest of the team!

What I learned

I have learned the importance of meeting a deadline and how the team has to manage it.

What's next for socialmediator

We don't know if we will keep developing the project for now, but it has for sure been an interesting challenge for this hackathon!
