Inspiration
We were tired of our friend group always struggling to find a time to meet up. Coordinating everyone's schedules was a hassle, and we knew there had to be a better way. This frustration inspired us to create an app that could simplify the process and make it easier for friends to connect.
What it does
Our app, SocialCalendarAI, helps you and your friends find the perfect time to hang out. It takes into account your food and event preferences, schedules, and other constraints to suggest the best possible times for everyone. The app ensures that coordinating and planning get-togethers is effortless and stress-free.
How we built it
Our cutting-edge iOS application is built with React Native for a seamless user experience. Data collection is streamlined via APIs, and the RAG preprocessing is done using LlamaIndex, with the data stored and vectorized in MongoDB. To enhance functionality, we're working on integrating the CrewAI multi-agent framework and leveraging powerful models from Amazon Bedrock and Fireworks, ensuring top-tier performance and reliability.
Challenges we ran into
Through this project, we learned a great deal about multi-agent systems, reactive native development, data processing for RAG, MongoDB, and the challenges of integrating various technologies. Additionally, we learned the importance of effective teamwork and communication in overcoming development challenges.
What's next for SocialCalenderAI
We plan to develop SocialCalendarAI into a fully-fledged app available to the public. Our next steps include refining the user interface, adding more robust features, and conducting extensive testing to ensure a smooth user experience. We also want to enhance the agentic reasoning capabilities for more flexible scheduling, integrating live user feedback, and adding live venue and event data to further improve the app. Stay tuned for updates as we bring SocialCalendarAI to life!
