Inspiration

Something that inspired us to make this project was when I first started scratch, I saw a project that was really cool(I don't remember the name of the project) and when I saw the theme of this hackathon, the game popped up in my head which is where we got inspired from.

What it does

This game has three stages. First is the main game which summarizes what will happen during the game and the second is the explaining and learning about different kinds of trashes in order to play the trash sorting game in the third stage. In the third stage, we have the player to sort the trash that comes in the conveyor belt into different trash bins like plastic, glass, and organic. We have different icons that represents those trashes like for the plastic, plastic water bottle, glass, broken glass cup, and finally organic, banana peel.

How we built it

We built this Trash Toss game together and dividing the work as a team. We have put in a lot of time and effort into this game and kept thinking reatively in order to fix the problems like the banana peel keeps moving on and the back ground not matching the items that shows and the last stage when the game sould have 1 points for each trash but them keep going up in random numbers.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges that we ran into were when we were figuring the buttons in order to move the Bit Bot(character) and the biggest problem we faced were on the last stage(game course), we were not able to figure out a way to make the player sort the trash and the AI robotsorting out the trash and comparing between those two. We also had a problem with keeping the points when the player was playing the game.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Things that we are proud of are firstly, making this game since we just started coding like 3 months. We did everything we can to do our best even though we have ran into lots of problems making tha game like we have mentioned in the part ##Chanllenges we ran into.

What we learned

Making this game helped us review the coding blocks that we haven't used in a while and use our creative thinking to get this far. We also learned more about how to fix certain kinds of problems we ran into making this coding game, Trash Toss.

What's next for Social Impact-climate change

I think the next step of Social Impact-climate change for me is identity and cultural loss. I think this is important in this community since there are so many different cultures and there are lots of things we can learn from different cultures.
