Unlocking of countries is challenging in this pandemic as the cases are rising.
What it does
It helps the user to maintain the social distancing with some fun.
How we built it
Using Spark AR studio.
Challenges we ran into
Estimating distance of persons from the user. Lowering the size of the app as much as possible. Filter should be user-friendly and fun to use.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Without using great algorithms we have done our job. Goal is accomplished within few megabytes. Filter can be used for fun even after the pandemic. Attracting a large number of users, for country like India where low budget phones are used people cannot use the resources like Google's SODAR because of its ARCore requirements.
What we learned
A new way to explore the world using Spark AR.
What's next for Social distancing
May not be this filter, but this project made us think to create some great AR effects without using ARCore type dependencies.
