Inspiration
In light of COVID-19, we have made an electronic version of the popular party game Beer Pong. Users play with infrared enabled cups with an embedded microprocessor to convert and send data though USB standard Protocol and a C++ app that runs on the terminal.
What it does
Allows you to play Beer Pong with friends while remaining distant.
How I built it
Adafruit Itsybitsy, IR sensors, stuff, no sleep, mentally fried, I wish I had a third teammate to take over for me right now (I tag out), Please refer to video
Challenges I ran into
Doing all of the hardware prototyping in the time allotted, including electronic hardware design, reverse engineering older components, ran out of proper wires had to improvise, crimping, making sure there were no hardware mistakes so that integration was smooth
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Completing it, it's very solid. This is not a breadboard and a few sensors. This is a full prototype.
What I learned
It can be done....
What's next for Social Distance Beer Pong
Sleep then play BP
