Inspiration

I love using social media especially facebook , i use it for business, social, news and information. Some of the tools i see on facebook could be more useful with regards to selling and business opportunities and productivity tools. Security of users could be better as we were hijacked 2 years ago selling on marketplace when delivering to what we thought were customers. Meanwhile they hijacked us and wanted to kidnap myself and my girlfriend. They don't seem to care about the safety nor care about people's productivity nor businesses . Since then my girlfriend met in a car accident were a drunk driver was partying the night and in the morning at 9 am going to see a customer she gets hit by him from the back . Her hand got amputated and she doesn't even drink , from then its been uphill . I just wish AI could have helped us screen potential customers ( not give us hijackers ) and give us advice from others who are applying to Road accident fund in order to make a wise choice and how to proceed legally and emotionally through this , things could have been better with the help of AI as nobody is constantly on our side , everyone including lawyers doctors , police are for themselves and take a long time. processes could be done better

What it does

I want Ai to be fused into social with a strong push for productivity and getting things done with more social cohesion and to get things done , not only in businesses but can be used as a tool to get for example , info on water repairs outages of electricity, road maintenance etc. if i would like to build an everything app fused with social media, news and neighborhood concerns, localized news .

How we built it

It was built on bolt.new using next.js . I prompted bolt to use a screenshot and to make pages that used icons and linked it to the pages create

Challenges we ran into

There were some menu problems and duplicate menus , the dummie data or placeholder data was good to see but hard to remove and it kept on i think causing database conflicts' . Also next.js doesn't allow to connect to supabase says next.js not supported , so i had to try to figure that out which took time to learn . The supabase AI wasn't that helpful especially the back and forth with row level security. I had to run sql and create a few RLS myself. The youtube videos links weren't being posted properly and messages and AI features weren't linking to elevenlabs, also elevenlabs video didn;t explainwere to find api key as i used wrong public api first and that took time to figure out, also the .env.local file kept on getting deleted,

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the way the app looks and what was achieved in like half the month of working on it. I could have done more if i used my time effectively . I like to connect elevenlabs to my app using Gemini as LLM

What we learned

I learnt to perhaps work with connections to superbase first and getting login sorted out earlier . Having a good initial prompt template explaining the database and login and getting that set up first with git

What's next for Social AI

I have plenty plans for the app as I want to make AI a social good , using social media to hook in users , who says that AI cant be fused into life and so much of life it seems nowadays is dealt with in social media platforms , I want AI in every page of the app doing function and using tools to make these pages more useful and automatic . i think i can make an into an everything app . Having wallet and marketplace connected to payments system . Ai these days are known for taking jobs and for myself who earns from Facebook marketplace i feel we could be taken more seriously as many people around the world rely on this marketplace to make an income.

There's a lot of missed opportunities , i will add the ability to upload C.V's for working people to get better insights and possibly apply for jobs , create a health page and a finance page. I have plenty ideas and cant wait to build it out. Much more focused will be towards productivity using the
